Upcoming CHASEN Projects and Events
We host many events throughout the year, helping to build and add to our neighborhood’s vital resources. We promote and encourage our neighbors to help by donating time or funds toward any of these events. Please join your community and neighbors, make lasting connections and help develop resources. Contact us to sign up or learn more.

Work Projects
We work with Sunrise Parks and Recreation. At C-Bar-C park we have rebuilt and painted the picnic tables and benches and helped construct the new playground. CHASEN also refurbished the pergola, providing much needed structural support.
May 17, 2025 – Big Day of Service
This year our project is rebuilding the picnic tables and benches at Madera Park, Citrus Heights. Sign up here for Big Day of Service.
National Night Out
CHASEN hosts National Night Out at one of our community parks every year. NNO is a community building campaign that promotes the relationship between neighbors and law Enforcment. In previous years we have had upwards of 400 people attend. We offer a BBQ meal and beverage at no cost. Local schools, churches, the Citrus Heights Marching Band and businesses volunteer to provide games, snow cones, cotton candy and other activities such as face painting, coloring contest and more. Please join us this next year.
The date this year is August 5, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Annual Giving Tree Project
During the holiday season, CHASEN partners with a variety of sources including Woodside K-8, HART, local businesses and local churches to help disadvantaged families in our community by sharing in the holiday spirit. We provide toys, clothing, games and gift cards to these families.
We welcome your participation in our neighborhood Giving Tree Project; donate cash, check or gift cards. Contact us here.

Candidates Forum
In September of 2022, we held a Candidates Forum at our monthly meeting. We had the opportunity to hear from the candidates running for City Council and the San Juan Unified School District Board. The community provided a variety of concerns prior to the meeting and had a narrator ask the Candidates questions.
